FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (by alphabetical order)

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU CONNECT TO THE EAHAD 2022 VIRTUAL PLATFORM BEFORE THE ACTUAL CONGRESS STARTS. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE PLATFORM IN ADVANCE AND AVOID ANY LAST-MINUTE CONNECTIVITY ISSUES

All abstracts will be published in the Haemophilia Journal, Volume 28, Supplement 1, February 2022 issue. The official publication will be after the congress dates and online access will be available here.
In the meantime, you can browse all abstracts on the EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress Platform.

The AHP Day takes place on 1 February 2022. Access is at an additional cost.
Delegates not registered to the AHP Day will not see it on their timeline. 

The EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress is the Annual Congress of the European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders to be held from 2 to 4 February 2022. It will be preceded by the Allied Health Professionals Day (AHP Day), taking place on 1 February 2022. Access to the AHP Day is at an additional cost.

The EAHAD 2022 Virtual Platform is supported by OnAIR, which works for most browsers used by consumers today. However, if you have not connected to a virtual event, your browser may not be correctly set for your audio and video settings.

The EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress of the European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).
It has further been accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Hematology (EBAH), an accreditation body supported and endorsed by the European Hematology Association (EHA). More information can be found on the congress website.

EAHAD and MCI are committed to enabling a virtual event in which everyone can participate in an inclusive, respectful, and safe manner. We value each member and want all guests to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, we expect all attendees to show respect and courtesy to the other participants. All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience, that includes people of different backgrounds. Event members are solely responsible for their actions. 

Disclaimer
We believe that our different identities make us powerful as a community, and organise our teams’ work accordingly. However, part of the content in virtual events is user-generated, and you may find other delegates’ or participants’ communications, graphics, audio files or additional information inappropriate, offensive, harmful, inaccurate, dishonest, misleading and/or deceptive. In this case, please, report an incident as described below. 

Behaviour
We ask that in the interest of open and honest participation, you: 

  1. Behave in a way that creates a safe and supportive environment for all virtual event participants, including the organisers, moderators, attendees, and speakers, via all communication channels, including the live stream, break out discussions and social media.
  2. Commit to a respectful curiosity, open-minded participation, and a positive, inclusive attitude, showing empathy and tolerance for people who may not share your opinion nor understand your views. Please, don’t engage in any form of harassing, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or threatening speech or behavior, including (but not limited to) relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, physical appearance or other protected category.
  3. Comply with the instructions of the moderator and any virtual event staff. 
  4. Do not make use of mechanisms, software, or scripts in connection with the use of the platform or any action which is likely to impair the functionality of the platform, in particular, to overburden it. 
  5. Comply with all applicable laws. 

Consequences
Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disqualification from participating in the registered event but also future live and virtual events. 

Reporting an incident
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the organiser by email eahad@mci-group.com

The next Annual Congress of the EAHAD will be held from 8 – 10 February 2023.

All E-Posters are available on demand and can be watched at any time on the EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress Platform.

All delegates will receive a link to an online event survey after the congress. The certificate of participation will be sent in the week following the congress, after completion of the event survey. 

The official language of the congress is English. There will not be simultaneous translation of the sessions. 

No need! The EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress gives you all the content you need at the click and the tap of your finger. It is best viewed on a computer or laptop and easily accessible on tablets. Using a smartphone is not ideal.

By registering to the EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress, you agree to receive communications relating to your participation at EAHAD 2022 Virtual Congress including, but not limited to, confirmation of registration, confirmation of payment, joining instructions, scientific programme, sponsored sessions, sponsors activities at the Congress. 

You further accept that your personal data will be shared with sponsors when connecting to / attending a sponsored symposium. Sponsors will then be able to contact you for commercial or marketing purposes. Click here for the list of sponsors (please note, that this list can be updated until the actual congress takes place. Make sure to consult it regularly). You may contact us at eahad@mci-group.com if you do not wish to share your contacts with a specific company.  

The media player of your device adjusts the resolution automatically based on the available bandwidth on your side. Please ensure that you are connected using a wired connection.

Click on the “Virtual Bag Inserts” under the “Sponsors’ page” on the Virtual Platform to access a document repository of some of the supporting companies.

Delegates can connect in the virtual chat room. Follow the easy instructions given to connect with other delegates. Chat, messaging and call functions will need to be accepted by the receiver before you can start engaging. These functions only work on the platform and do not generate any notifications on your email.
